FAQ

Our belting requirements for both adults and youth are implemented in adherence to Lincoln Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's standards.

School Documents:

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions.

Q – I have never trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or grappling before-can I still take your classes?
A – Of course! We don’t expect new students to have any experience, so our beginner curriculum is designed to introduce novice grapplers to the movements, techniques, and strategies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, starting with the fundamentals.

Q – I am going to come by to try a class soon-what should I wear?
A – Wear loose clothes that you would feel comfortable working out in. A t-shirt and shorts or sweat pants would be ideal. We have several loaner uniforms that new students can borrow while they try a class.

Q – Will I need a uniform to participate?
A – Students will eventually be required to buy a uniform, but no uniform is necessary to try a class, and we will loan uniforms to prospective students during their trial membership. Once you sign up, you’ll need to purchase a uniform, and we are happy to help you do that.

Q – Do you offer classes for kids?
A – Yes! We offer Jiu-Jitsu classes for 5-9 year olds and 10-15 year olds. As with all programs, we offer a $25 trial.
